I have a great passion for the environment and the flora and fauna within it. I am involved with several conservation and environmental groups and I am greatly anticipating continuing to learn and develop my skills in the outdoor environment.
I am enthusiastic, flexible and energetic with a genuine interest in outdoor, natural spaces and the seasons and weather which shapes them. I am fascinated by the effect that green spaces can have on a person's holistic development.
During a period of illness, I continued to be involved in community and environmental projects. I am a volunteer for the local National Trust Conservation Group and Saving Scotland's Red Squirrels. I am involved in Branching Out, an ecotherapy project run by the Forestry Commission. On a weekly basis I am out with the Torphins Paths Group where we dig out and resurface woodland paths in and around the village. Training courses for all these posts are available on a regular basis and I attend as many as possible to ensure my skills are relevant and up to date.
I have knowledge of risk assessments and have training and experience in fires and the use of tools. My public and professional communication skills are good and I am computer literate. Teamwork is important and essential but I am also comfortable being engaged in something on my own.
I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to expand my skills and knowledge within a local company.
