Experience

  • Intern - New Forest National Park Authority - Working Woodlands Project: Supporting Gemma Stride, Project Coordinator for the Heritage Lottery Funded Project, supporting landowners in the management of their woodlands in line with the Authority's business and conservation aims. GIS, evaluating sites, compiling work packages and tenders. Managing contractors. Managing outdoor conservation tasks with volunteer corps.
  • Volunteer coordinator - Tuppenny Bar Organics & Education - Administration support, grower, grant writing and volunteer coordinator, supporting the enterprise and educational arm of the organisation. 
  • Founder - Community Garden Project - Teaching sustainable agriculture and the foundations of ecology to students, townspeople and school groups. Collaborating with other local interest groups. Finalist for Groundwork Community Young Leadership Award 2018 for contribution to the environment and community.
  • Project support/Visitor Services - St Andrews Botanic Garden - supporting the delivery of education programmes and assisting the setting up of new Charitable Trust. 
  • Steering Group/Project Coordinator - Transition - leadership role with oversite over a range of projects. Grant writing. Volunteer management. Representing the organisation at National level. Instigated a structural change to a CIC. Awarded Growing Together's Local Hero Award for 'outstanding contribution'.
