A project and departmental manager with over 20 years experience in 8 diverse business sectors. Prince2 and ITIL qualified, my strengths are planning projects, motivating teams, customer service and stakeholder management. I am an organised individual and very customer focused. I am approachable and dedicated to the work I do and thrive on learning new skills. I am currently engaged in a number of different voluntary activities as part of a career change towards a role in history, conservation and heritage.

Outline

I am looking for a career change that ties in with my interest in history, heritage, conservation and the environment, but also where I can use my significant project, people and customer service management experience to contribute to an organisation and make a difference.

I am currently working as a volunteer at the National Waterways Museum carrying out digitalised archive work and also will be shortly starting volunteering at the Chester Archive office to assist them with the digitisation of their documents I am also volunteering at a National Trust property at Erddig which includes tours of the house collection, as well as welcoming visitors and providing  verbal explanations about the collection in specific parts of the house. I also help out with their gardening project (GAP) which helps young people to understand the environment. In addition, I am working with Cheshire Wildlife Trust on a gardening project to enhance school children’s understanding of wildlife conservation and to help them understand about food production.
