I am an ornithologist with 8 years professional experience. I am based in Wiltshire and am seeking work within a 1.5 hour radius. I am experienced with breeding surveys, vantage point, inter-tidal, disturbance monitoring, and walkovers.
I have 7.5 years experience at a large consultancy and 6 months as a freelancer. I specialise in ornithology but am a keen naturalist and can undertake other ecology surveys including reptiles, water vole, bats, botany, BNG, UK Habs, and lepidoptera.
I am experienced undertaking breeding bird surveys, wind farm VP surveys, inter-tidal counts and disturbance monitoring, and walkover surveys. I use high quality binoculars and a high powered telescope. The majority of my experience is across the south of England and Wales but I have surveyed in Scotland too.
Prior to my professional career I gained a first class honours degree in wildlfie conservation from Nottingham Trent University, and undertook a placement year at WWT Lllanelli. I have also been an active volunteer for the WWT, RSPB, BTO for over 10 years.
