I am a freelance ecologist with over five year experience based in Bradford, West Yorkshire. I specialise in protected species surveys (dormice, GCN, bats, otters, water voles, badgers, breeding birds). I hold licences for GCN & dormice.
I am a freelance Ecological Consultant offering subcontracting services. I am based in Bradford, West Yorkshire and am able to work locally and across the UK. I will be available to work from the 12th August 2019 onward. I have 5 years experience in ecological consultancy since 2011 (employed and freelance).
I also have over two and a half years experience as the Senior Conservation Specialist at Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, where I was responsible for all aspects of monitoring and surveying of over 60 nature reserves across the county. This information was used to advise on habitat management in order to maintain favourable conservation status.
I currently hold Protected Species Licences for dormice and great crested newts. I am training towards my bat licence and have experience doing activity surveys, assisting with initial bat inspections, nest box checks and sound analysis.
I also have experience doing Phase 1 habitat surveys, ecological clerk of works and other protected species surveys (such as reptiles, otters, water voles, badgers and breeding birds).
I have worked on numerous small and large-scale development projects including London Gateway in Essex, and HS2 in London.
