Qualifications

Environmental Science BSc (2:2). I was able to tailor my course to focus on Ecology and Conservation modules. These included extensive field work practicals, Phase 1 habitat surveying and producing consultancy reports/presentations within the topics of biodiversity, habitat protection and land contamination.

A Level English (B), Psychology (B) and Geography (C).

Experience

I have over 200 volunteer hours in practical conservation work. With Cardiff Council I have been assisting educational activities, and carrying out conservation works across the city using hand a power tools for; maintenance in a SSSI, hedge strimming, coppicing, hedge laying, meadow hay raking and habitat creation.

I have also worked with the Wildlife Trust, RSPB and Herts Natural History Society in reserve maintenance and surveyor training, including water voles and newt bottle trapping.
