Passionate about arboriculture, trees and woodlands. With
over 20 years’ experience working in Arboriculture at both craft and
supervisory levels I’ve spent the last 4 years teaching arboriculture and
woodland management at levels 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Currently working as a lecturer in Arboriculture (4 years) at Pershore College, Worcestershire.
Teaching, lecturing and instructing in Arboriculture at levels two, three, four and five (Foundation Degree). A varied role teaching the following subjects:
Arboriculture, levels 2, 3, 4 & 5
Woodland Management, levels 3, 4 and 5
Woodland Surveys, levels 3, 4 and 5
Woodland habitat management, level 3
Machinery, levels 2 and 3
Tree Risk Management, including decay detection using Picus3 and Resi-400, levels 3, 4 and 5
Legislation, levels 2, 3, 4 and 5
Tree planting and aftercare, levels 2, 3, 4 and 5
I enjoy teaching the craft and theory of Arboriculture immensely. My current role has allowed me to train and prepare young people for the industry that I have love so much, instilling knowledge, practical ability and a good work ethos into my students.
