Summary

A highly motivated individual with a proven track record of success. A passion for conservation which I want to share with others. MRes Endangered Species Recover and Conservation degree holder. Looking for a chance to apply my skills and knowledge.

Outline

I am a highly motivated individual who began his career in conservation in 2015 following a career change from financial management. I applied the same work ethic and drive to conservation as I did to financial management and used my transferable skills to gain valuable experience in nature conservation. As a full-time student, I participated in a 7 month Shadow Community Ranger scheme run by the Forestry Commission. At the Forestry Commission I quickly showed my potential and was granted with the opportunity to organise and lead educational groups, for children and adults. Whilst at the Forestry Commission I had to apply my time management skills to manage my tasks between university work, employment and Forestry Commission . Following the completion of the Forestry Commission internships I was successful in obtaining two more internships. First in Montenegro researching marine mammals in the summer of 2017, second in Belize researching Jaguars in the summer and autumn of 2018. At both internships I was promoted to co-volunteer and project coordinator where I helped train new volunteers, organise tasks create education presentations and expand on my project management skills.
