Having had varied positions including self-employment, construction and catering sectors, a change in circumstances focused my lifelong interest in wildlife and the environment.
By studying, training and gaining experience through persistence I finally managed to attend University to complete a BSc Hons in Countryside Management with a career in conservation as a goal.
Have a determination to achieve employment in interesting countryside, species or landscape management in wildlife, habitats or the environmental sectors through use of personal learning, understanding, knowledge, training and experience.
Researching, experience of setting up projects, achievable outcomes, business processes, and management skills coupled with in-field ground truth experience from running busy kitchens to voluntary groups or habitat management or improvement.
Developed, worked on and been part of community projects, businesses and voluntary groups, with both communication and physical skills contributing transferable skills gained in varied and competent positions. From driving, machinery operation/maintenance to computing packages, or chair of groups, people skills, team work and health and safety learning these have been essential in working environments. A self-focus and determination has always been useful in positions of self-employment as it is only yourself to make it work, but the positive, enjoyment and excitement of the job or project brings forward all of the experience and skills to achieve positive outcomes.
