Experience

I have been brought up and lived in a conservation area run by National Trust and Wildlife Trust. Which instilled a passion for nature, the outdoors and conservation.

I have been helping and then employed at 13 to 16 at weekends and holidays at Mary Bowlers Riding School, and still go regularly to assist friends and help out when needed.

Age 16 to 18 I volunteered at Horse of Year Show (HOYS) and Bolesworth International Horse Show and participated in a team building course in Ireland.

When at Aberystwyth University I volunteered again at Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre having already volunteered here whilst studying at college. I also took on multiple field trips during my degree, most recently at Faro, Portugal and Dubh Loch, Scotland for my final year, where I identified macroinvertebrate to their closest taxonomic level.

I have volunteered for Aberystwyth Conservation society through university, where a team of us maintained overgrowing trees and shrubs as well as weeding fields for cattle. These allowing me to be able to use most tools and equipment if required.
